OnRaé LaTeal

OnRaé LaTeal, aka “The Liberation Music Maker,” is an award-winning producer, creative arts educator and cultural organizer whose work sits at the intersection of art, technology and education equity. Known for transforming sounds from the movement into contemporary songs, her music serves as the soundtrack of the revolution and ongoing work of community organizers fighting for Black liberation.

OnRaé’s most celebrated work includes The Black Joy Experience, a musical compilation album of mainstream freedom songs and liberation chants she produced in conjunction with the national activist organization, Black Youth Project 100. Her latest achievement includes the award-winning visual album exploring the reimagining of public safety,“We Keep Us Safe”.; receiving a 2022 Webby’s Anthem Award, and 2022 Telly Award. 

As a seasoned educator and cultural organizer, OnRaé operates as the founder of two creative-arts grassroots initiatives including the Freedom Futures Collective and Black Girls Handgames Project. Both work to uplift the artistic talents of Black and Brown youth who have been traditionally locked out of professional STEAM-related opportunities. Over the years, she has provided arts education and creative production services to organizations recognized nationally and internationally, including the Smithsonian Institution, Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, Open Society Foundations, National Crittenton Foundation, Grantmakers for Girls of Color, and Howard University owned 96.3 WHUR-FM. 

Geri Meyers

Geri Meyers is a multi-talented individual who is passionate about music and fitness. As a DJ, she goes by the name geriFree and has released her single, Pure Joy through Give a Beat Records. She also has her own Steppin' Beats on SoundCloud.

With a strong belief in the power of fitness to improve one's life, Geri designs fitness programs that aim to make a positive impact on individuals' lives by helping them transform physically and emotionally. Her fitness programs consist of various workouts tailored to help clients achieve their fitness goals and reach their full potential to lead a healthier lifestyle.

As a Re-Entry TAY Mentor, Geri shares her lived experience with compassion and motivation to build trust with those impacted by the criminal justice system. She works to develop reentry and rehabilitation plans.

With her diverse skill set, Geri aims to make a positive difference in people's lives and help them transform and thrive.

Daniel Bisuano

Daniel Bisuano is an actor, writer, poet, and advocate. He continues to pursue his dream and goals to pursue his creative goals well also empowering his community through his advocacy work. Daniel has been an advocate for ten plus years and has worked with and been a part of organizations like Homeboys Industries, Anti-Recidivism Coalition, California Justice leaders, Youth Commission And Inside out writers. Daniel continues to strive to not only better himself but also his community around him. Having spent seven years in the justice system as a youth he has a strong passion for the empowerment and advocacy of the formerly incarcerated community. Living as a former foster youth Daniel believes that many different communities intertwine and has a strong passion for creating awareness and change amongst each one. Currently Daniel is on the board and committees of different community advocacy organizations like Reproductive Health and Equity Project for Foster youth, ACLU serving on the Arts Justice Council  served as a Youth Commissioner for District 3. As well as his different engagements with advocacy Daniel is a part time student at Los Angeles Trade Technical Community College majoring in English. Daniel continues to explore different ways to help the community through his work as well as different ways to share the stories of people impacted by the various barriers associated with being involved within the system.

free Pierre

free is a proud native of Newark, NJ, a spoken word artist, student of abolition, and most importantly a poet at heart. free is passionate about social change and uses spoken word poetry as a tool of empowerment. They’re interested in using community organizing work in order to dream for a collective, liberated future. Their activist efforts have led them to Los Angeles, where they are a student at UCLA School of Law as an Achievement Fellow.  At UCLA Law, free has been using their time to get involved in organizing alongside systems impacted and formerly incarcerated students to address barriers to getting into law school.  free also enjoys finding community in organizing spaces in LA, where they are able to support police abolition efforts and housing access. When they’re not organizing or performing, free enjoys going to game nights & losing at trivia.
